MKJM Extension Project
You will be pleased to know that the planning permission for the proposed changes to the building structure has been approved back in April 2008. This means that the facilities at the masjid will be greatly improved for all who use it.
Phase one:
The ground floor prayer area of the masjid will be altered to a dimension of 6 meters by 14 meters approximately. This will increase the current musallah spaces from 123 to 275 approximately. A digram of the plan will be available for viewing as soon as we upload it.
- A new kitchen is to be built to
the rear of the masjid.
- New shower room adjacent to
the kitchen.
- New wudhu facilities to acommodate
10 people approximately.
- 4 normal WC’s and 1 disable
WC’s.
- A new staircase will be built from
the ground floor through to the loft
space.
- All existing amenities and bedrooms
from the current first floor
will be moved to the loft space.
- The two rooms currently on the
first floor will be converted to
prayer areas and adding 60 additional
musallah spaces to the current
120.
- There will be new fire exits from
down stair.
Phase two:
- Facelift to the front of the masjid.
- Windows at the fron of the
masjid will be amended to include
arches.
- Iron grills will be installed to the
front perimiter wall.- Double doors will be instaled to
the front of the masjid to provide
an entrance.
- Three mini domes will be constructed
on each section of the
roof.

“ where upon those who attained to faith and did good deeds He will grant their just rewards, and give them yet more out of His bounty; where as those who felt too proud and gloried in their arrogance He will chastise with grievous suffering: and they shall find none to protect them from God, and none to bring them succour. ”
